Bio

Bert is a self employed, independent financial services associate of National Financial Services Group in Jacksonville, Fl. He has more than 30 years of experience in this field and enjoys the responsibilities that come with advising clients who seek the benefit of his knowledge, experience and insight regarding their financial portfolios.

He has a business degree from Jacksonville University and numerous awards of excellence within the corporate planning community. Bert regularly works with business owners, executives, professionals and retirees regarding their financial goals and aspirations.

Bert is married to Demetria, for over 25 years, and has one daughter Emily, age 12.

After graduating from college in 1976 he worked within his family’s aerospace manufacturing business that was established by his father in 1946. The business is thriving today after more than 60 years and is now under the control of Bert’s nephew, Scott, a rare third generation transfer was completed in 2001. 

As an Investment Advisor Representative and Registered Representative of Equity Services, Inc., Bert is responsible for designing and implementing carefully laid out investment, risk management and estate planning strategies for his clients.

Over the years he has developed a sincere respect for various charities and non-profit organizations. Bert is a trustee for the Harry and Sylvia Livingston Philanthropic Fund as well as the Bert and Demetria Livingston Charitable Remainder Trust. He is also a board member of the National Committee on Planned Giving, (NCPG) and the 2006-2007 Chairman of the American Heart Association Community Volunteer Board, in Northeast Florida.

Locally Bert has supported and assisted a number of charitable organizations such as The American Heart Association, March of Dimes, Jacksonville University, Boggy Creek Camp, and I.M Sulzbacher Homeless Shelter. He also enjoys assisting individuals in establishing their own family Donor Advised Funds, Charitable Trusts and Scholarship/Endowments.

His business memberships include Chamber of Commerce, Grand American Road Racing,   Small Business Resources Network (SBRN), a local network of business professionals who work specifically with small businesses.
